New Ultimate High Performance tyre on the Rimac Concept_One electric supercar

Just a few short weeks after unveiling the Ultrac Vorti to the international press and specialist traders, Dutch tyre manufacturer Vredestein is presenting its latest Ultimate High Performance tyre to visitors at Top Marques Monaco. The tyre is being showcased on the Concept_One electric supercar developed by Rimac Automobili.

Vredestein is once again back at the trade fair this year, this time presenting the latest addition to the Premium Styling by Vredestein concept — the Ultrac Vorti. This concept is all about high performance tyres for exclusive cars, and draws on the advice and creations of premium auto stylers and exclusive, innovative car manufacturers. For the car on show at Top Marques Monaco, Vredestein has joined forces with Rimac Automobili, a partner whose ability to think outside the box has enabled it to develop a truly revolutionary drive system.

The Vredestein Ultrac Vorti is the Ultimate High Performance tyre. It has the speed rating (Y), meaning it is suitable for speeds of over 300 kilometres per hour. The tyre was designed by top Italian designer Giugiaro and has been developed with the most advanced and sportiest high performance cars in mind. Specifically for this type of car, the Ultrac Vorti features an adapted profile and specially-tailored design for sizes that are only used on the rear axle. Due to the fact that it is the front tyres that dissipate the majority of the water when the road surface is wet, the focus for the rear tyres was on increased grip and stability. This reduces the air ratio, while the adapted belt angle allows you to feel that the tyre has a highly controllable level of grip. This makes the tyre extra safe and ensures its handling is reliable.

The Ultrac Vorti is on display on the Concept_One during Top Marques Monaco in sizes 245/35 R 20 (front) and 295/30 R 20 (rear). This electric car developed by Rimac Automobili features a revolutionary drive system called All Wheel Torque Vectoring, where each wheel is driven separately. The Concept_One can go from 0 to 100 km/hour in 2.8 seconds. Its maximum speed is 305 km/hour and it can travel up to 600 kilometres on one battery charge. It is a limited-edition vehicle, with only 88 models being produced.

By presenting the Ultrac Vorti on the electric Concept_One, Vredestein is tapping into developments in the field of sustainable mobility. Although many still believe that this is nothing more than a trend, more and more manufacturers in the automotive sector are becoming convinced of the importance of sustainable mobility. His Royal Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco will underline this importance during his visit by paying particular attention to exhibitors presenting electric cars.

Top Marques Monaco is taking place from 19 to 22 April and is the only live supercar event in the world where visitors can not only admire the stunning cars on show but also have the opportunity try them out for themselves. This exclusive event is being held in the Grimaldi Forum in Monte Carlo, right next to the Monaco Formula 1 circuit.
