#vredesteintires x OHOAT

In 2023, Vredestein Tires partnered with Syd, for Project 99. Project 99 showcases Syd's journey with her car, a 1978 Saab 99 Turbo.

Here's a little intro from Syd.

'My name is Syd, and I am a fine art photographer, product designer, and car enthusiast from New England. Although I shoot around the United States, I grew up in Boston, Massachusetts, where my appreciation for Saab first began. When I got my first Saab 9-3, I started to combine my love of landscape and automotive photography on my page @yourfriendsyd, and since then, I've been incredibly fortunate to have found a large community that is incredibly supportive not just of my photography, but also of my art car projects, design work, and of course my merchandise shop OHOAT!

"Project 99" is the latest evolution of these passions. The car itself is a 1978 Saab 99 Turbo, inspired by the rally cars that Stig Blomqvist drove in the 1970s; the livery captures the native creatures of Sweden and Finland, where Saab was designing and building these cars in the same period. Throughout this project, I always wanted to work with authentic partners that appreciate my community and my concepts, and working with Vredestein was a natural fit. My partner and I run Vredestein tires on a lot of our vehicles, and not only are we fans of their tires already, but throughout the Saab 99 Turbo forums, owners have been organic ambassadors for the Vredestein Sprint+ as the best tire to run on stock 99 Turbo wheels. So far, the car has already been from Vermont to California, and we can't wait to show you some of the next steps in our projects together!'
