Atlanta, GA. (February 3rd, 2023) – The premium tire brand, Vredestein, will be the Official Sponsor of the 2023 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, being held in France, from February 6th to 19th 2023. Apollo Tyres Ltd, which owns the Vredestein product brand, has partnered with this global event to drive awareness of the Vredestein brand and its award-winning winter (Wintrac and Wintrac Pro) and all-weather (Quatrac and Quatrac Pro) tire ranges.
The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships is a flagship event in the global winter sports calendar, attracting millions of enthusiastic viewers worldwide. In 2021 the Championships secured a combined global TV audience of over 126 million, while the event’s online coverage achieved more than 357 million views and over 11 million likes.
The Vredestein brand will feature prominently throughout the duration of the championships on racers’ bibs, as well as on banners and backdrops across the highly competitive adrenaline-fuelled events. This highly visible exposure will raise the profile of the Vredestein brand, reinforcing its century-old reputation for high-performing tires in winter conditions, and supporting the growth of the Vredestein brand in the Northern USA and Canada. The Championships attracts a highly engaged audience that understands and appreciates premium-quality products.
The Championships will be hotly contested by athletes from across the world. Naturally, specific interest will be generated by the teams from USA and Canada. Most notably, all eyes will be on the performance of US legend Mikaela Shiffrin, as she continues to dominate the world of women’s skiing. Shiffrin is a two-time Olympic gold medallist and four-time world champion in the sport.
“This significant commitment to winter sports provides an ideal platform to increase awareness of Vredestein’s unique brand and product attributes,” explains Abhishek Bisht, AVP North America, Apollo Tyres Ltd. “Our winter and all-weather tires have many natural synergies with the world of competitive skiing, in particular the shared focus on achieving superior standards of performance and safety on snow and ice.”
